  1. Dear Style Insider – I recently found this channel and am loving the content. Would love it if there was something for the ladies that are more busty. Thank you

  2. Smart casual is my go-to look. I wear a dressier midi skirt with a plain or statement tee, dad sandals or sneakers for summer. Dr Martens for fall/winter! Most of the women I know wear their gym gear all day, but I like to look put together when I’m out and about.

  3. Good tips. The thing I do most often to bring an overly dressy outfit down to smart casual or to bring a somewhat boring outfit up to smart casual is to add a surprising color in shoes or accessories. You see that on some of the models here. I have a rather lovely dinner dress in a black/royal blue print that I pair with taxicab yellow high-heeled pumps. A bright turquoise and black dress pairs with nude patent leather pumps. I have a fringed black and white patterned scarf that I add to brightly colored or conservative-neutral tops and get tons of compliments. Color is the easiest trick.

  4. I think you've just described my style. I didn't know there was a name. Thanks for the tips. There are a few I'll definitley be incorporating.

  5. Thank You πŸ™ Most of us get a bit confused about Smart Casual . Agree . I feel confident in smart casual . A t with an elegant skirt looks great . I did a video about skirts . Sunnies for sure help 😊

  6. Hi Leonie! This is probably my favourite way to dress; great tip about starting with a dressy piece. My outfit today is a pair of satin pyjama-style trousers in a paisley type print, an off-white t shirt with a knotted appliquΓ©d piece on each shoulder to add a bit of interest, off-white block heeled sandals, and a gold shell necklace and my favourite couple of gold bangles.

  7. Realizing this is my go to style and glad to have a name for it! Haha Its the best of both worlds and I just feel so confident and yet comfortable when I dress this way!! I love your tips on how to achieve the look and the staple pieces u suggest. Your videos are my faves!

  8. Thank you for some of those ideas. I was laid off from work last year and I have decided not to go back to work, my husband will be retiring next year, so we have decided, it is time to start having some fun, travel a bit. I am a shopper, so I have many items in my closet that are high quality items for office work. Now I want to take my office blazers, shirts, skirts, dresses and dress them down. I have plenty of flats, nice white sneakers, jewelry, purses and scarves, so those tips help. BTW, I just bought a sleeveless ivory colored dress yesterday at H&M. I am trying to figure out how to accessorize it for a date night with my husband. I thought I would wear black heeled sandals, black earrings and a black clutch. (I live in Boston, MA, USA. It will be summer in two days.) I also bought a beige/rust colored printed scarf that matches the dress, I couldn't resist it. The scarf has no black in it, but it is lovely to look at. I could wear it in my hair as a headband or just a simple tie around my neck. (I also own a black statement necklace, but that may be too much- from Talbot's, last year.) I am still shopping, even if it is at Zara's and H&M or even Targets. I just found out that Targets has the most comfy skinny jeans in their own brand, ("Universal Thread.) I bought three pairs. LOL !!! πŸ˜‰

  9. Oh, now I get it! Thank you for this simple, understandable formula, especially the advice to start with the elegant piece. Lovely photos too. I'm already thinking about new combinations. Thank you again!
