  10. I feel like more young ladies need to know this one thing:
    If you see a dress you like and it doesn’t fit well, get it tailored. There are dress tailors everywhere and it will cost an extra hundred dollars at most to get it fitted like a glove to you. It’s so worth it for any garment actually, having a dress tailored is not as expensive as most people think it is.

    Another tip is, if your dress isn’t as poofy as you expected it to be it’s by design. Most tulle bottom ball gown style dresses require petticoats so get a petticoat if you want the extra fluffy look

    One last tip: if you are wearing a dress with a high slit, secure both sides of the slit to your leg with clear double sided garment tape to keep anyone from seeing anything they shouldn’t. Also slit dresses only usually look cute when posing with the leg out but if you do the double sided tape thing it will look open all the time, otherwise the slit just hangs there until you stick your leg out again, lol.

  27. I didn't realize how lucky I was with my dress until I saw YouTube hauls of online overseas dress shops. I saw a champagne/peach glittery ballgown on Pinterest I liked, went to the site and bought it for like 135-ish dollars and it actually looked like the picture. Popped on a petticoat to make it fluffy and was like "coolio lets go". Dude when I saw just how BADDDD this decision could have been…my trust issues multiplied 1000x

  30. Prom is so overrated and I didn't wanna go so when COVID hit I cracked up at the fact that now I don't have to. Mom was super upset though and I did actually love the dress we got so I'm thinking about planning a small dance with a few family friends and pitching the idea to her. That way all of our parents can still have prom pictures. All of us already have our prom dresses from 2020.
