  1. I’ve been eyeing that silk blouse for months. I’m finally loading up my cart with some beautiful silk basics. Do you find their sizes are true to size? Thanks in advance 😘

  2. Smart ensemble, pretty skirt and fantastic boots, but too much black does not suit me personally. I would have to wear a white or pastel shades on the upper part of me. Thank you.

  3. As a black lover I really enjoyed the video. And do you really wear UNIQLO?
There are certain “fashionable” people in Japan who brag about never wearing UNIQLO, but if chosen carefully there sure are nice basic items!

  4. I love black when the temperature goes down. It’s so chic and you don’t need a lot of things to look great if you know how to wear it.
My only problem is having three cats at home so I can’t let them come close when wearing black.
While in Paris three weeks ago I wore mostly black, navy blue and gray jeans with ivory, charcoal and white light sweaters, turtleneck and my breton shirt on a rare sunny and gorgeous autumn day.
The weather was divine but I usually wore a light black coat that I found in Zara and I just loved it because despite it was black the fabric had some white “sprinkles”.
My ankle boots were always with me as well as my scarves and pashminas.
It really makes your day when even locals mistake you for a parisien…until I opened my mouth and my poor French came out😹 but it added the funny part and despite what some say, I have found parisians are lovely.
The clue as I have learned over and over and specially from you, don’t look like you are trying too hard. Be natural, wear what you love and what makes you feel great and comfortable.
You reflect what you have inside and if you feel great and confident people will receive it.
By the way Marie-Anne, that skirt you are wearing is so chic, I love the silver detail and the cut at the side!
You see I am learning and focusing on the litte details!
    Again, merci and a bientot!

  5. This look is a little boring. Monochromatic all-black hardly compliments anybody. It looks like New York in November-December: the city of black. I think people who do not know how to play with colour will usually choose this ensemble because they do not have thinks.

  6. I have a question, Marie-Anne! What do you wear at home? I mean, what’s your thought on homewear clothes? While going through my wardrobe I realized that I had way too many ugly comfy clothes for home use. I like to be comfortable when I am home, and I do not like wearing “going out” clothes at home because I feel like they are too nice to get stained and wrinkled from home chores!. But at the same time, I certainly feel good when I am in nice clothes. Wonder if you have brilliant suggestions 🙂

  7. This video inspired me to transfer the look to a dark navy sweater dress. And as a reversal of the color to the styling of a tweed dress with plain blazer. Thank you so much – especially for the words to the scarf!

  8. Hello Marie-Anne the outfit you are wearing is so elegant. Like the black outfit but I'd prefer to wear shoes with those black pattern collants. You are tall and slim and it looks good on you. ❤

  9. 🌷❤️Cher Marie-Anne, this was another perfect video.. so elegant and thoughtful. You are a charming and a natural teacher. You explain and show us tips and thoughts on how these looks works… your replies are equally informative and gracious. I love your humor and of course the French you sprinkle in…. you are a wonderful and tres chic mentor❣️

  10. I really love these newer videos where you teach us how to create an outfit on the mannequin. Since I have been shopping in my own closet (and attic!) and putting ensembles together according to your rules, I have received many compliments at my workplace. I am still wearing the same clothes, just putting them together the French Chic way. This is also allowing me to weed out clothes that do not suit me now that I know the reason why. Another benefit to following your channel is more room in my closet. For context, I am an elementary school teacher in an outer borough of New York City. New York City loves black, as do I. But I don't want to look like I am going to a funeral. Every time I receive a compliment, I recommend your channel. Thank you

  11. Lovely outfit! I feel so inspired now to combine new combinations from my warderobe. I'll take your ideas when going to put my winter sewing list together! Thank you for the inspiring video!💋

  12. So elegant as always….thank you to share this outfit and for inspiration. It's so good and also funny to look in my closet to recreate your looks and give new value to things i already have. Thank you Marie-Anne, have a nice evening. See you next time💟

  13. Hi Marie-Anne – I just discovered your channel and it's wonderful! Could you do a video on your hair meaning going from a bob to a short cut (it looks fabulous on you and it's very fun and youthful). Also, what do French women typically eat for breakfast and lunch? Thanks!

  14. I live in a small village in Italy, but today I will go out as a Parisienne. I have similar clothes in my wardrobe, I just to find the right scarf, maybe I can go for the plain white. Merci mille fois Marie Anne

  15. Great video Marie-Anne. Thank you for including plenty of details and advice on building that beautiful French chic outfit. I'm working on getting better with scarves. I've watched a couple of your previous videos on how to wear scarves 👍. My problem is that I have a very short neck, and sometimes the way I tie the scarf emphasises this. How would you recommend that I wear my scarves to elongate my neck???? 💖👍😍

  16. Thanks for a fantastic video. This is the way I like to dress. I love black but feel it is a little harsh next to my face. I love the idea of showing the color in the scarf next to my face to soften the look a bit. And thanks for the advice about not obsessing over the way I tie the scarf. Your technique was very simple but soft and beautiful.

  17. Bonjour! Great video! I just wanted to add it's not only in Paris that we French women wear this type of outfit. 🙂 It is a timeless French classic no matter the region in France. In Lorraine where I am from, it's been a favourite for… decades: when it's not black, it's the same type of outfit in bleu marine/navy blue, or camel, or grey, or brown. Same in most other regions, like Bourgogne, Bretagne etc etc ….

  18. I loved this video because you dealt with a problem that I have . I absolutely love black – I am fair and certainly not young and really cannot wear black next to my face but there is nothing like it specially in the winter – navy blue is not really a substitute. I think the light in winter and autumn is more conducive to the wearing of black . So , apart from wearing a softening scarf , any other methods of making black wearable would be a topic I’d love you to explore .
