  1. Navyblue is a favorit of mine too.instead of Dark jeans, navyblue leather and suede…goes exelently with silk, lace and knit.wear Them all year round…maby i should find a cap, looks cute on you, maby on me too…

  2. I look awful in black so very interested in navy. especially in ug grey and brown wjth it. Looking forward to further navy videos to see what you use to give a pop of colour to those combinations.
    tions

  3. I have a pair of bright yellow pumps that are a fun “pop” with navy! I dont wear them often because they are so noticeable but they are different, unexpected and so cute for a change now and then.
BTW – you look young and adorable in your new cap!

  4. So many good style suggestions in this video! I've always loved navy and white for summer. My favorite of your winter looks was the last one – navy with the grey coat.

  5. Enjoyed your video on how to style navy. I mostly wear navy in the Spring and Summer. Loved all your ideas. My favorite item you demoed wa the red wrap-I have never seen one like that. I would be interested in purchasing one if available. Love your new cap. One thing I have found is that their are not that many winter hats available in the US as in France. Wish I had your hat store here…
I did purchase a red hat to go with my red midi coat and love it. Your navy blouse is beautiful and timeless. Thank you.

  6. This video was such fun to watch. Navy has been my go-to color for years, and I use it with many of the same combinations of texture and color. Each of your outfits was a home run, but my favorite was the brown biker jacket paired with jeans and silk top. That’s something I would wear; it’s edgy and sophisticated. I’ll be searching my closet for a similar look!

  7. I love the Baker Boy hat! It adds a jauntiness to any outfit and suits you very well. They are a classic style here in the UK, often slightly oversized and in soft corduroy or wool. It's a great look, but I haven't been brave enough to buy one yet!

  8. I no longer feel comfortable with red. My current attempt at an accent color is a soft pink (not aprico!). But you look great with the red and pink colors, Marie Anne!

  9. Marie-Anne,
Thank you — this is such a great video. I'm wondering if a 'classic' denim jean jacket (not distressed!) has a place in a French chic wardrobe? I have both blue and true black denim jackets that look great for casual chic occasions. I've been known to wear them with silk & cotton blouses, pearls , trousers, skirts & jeans. I find them very versatile and occasionally substitute them for a blazer — When I do, I receive complements on my "look". When done tastefully, it is a very youthful look on an 'older' woman! I haven't seen you in a denim jacket or maybe I've missed it — is it part of a French wardrobe? Thanks again, you're such a good teacher.

  10. Bonjour Marie-Anne! I love these outfits! Can you please show us some outfits with jeans and flat shoes, as I cannot wear heels! Merci beaucoup! ❤️

  11. You have an excessive amount of clothing. This leads me to believe that a person does indeed need a lot of clothes to be well dressed. 😟 not what I was watching this channel for though the clothes are beautiful and I enjoy watching the outfits.

  12. I love the hats you are recently highlighting. I think a hat finishes off a ‘look’ perfectly, as it brings the outfit together. I’m also enjoying the tweed jackets that you are displaying. Tweed is a versatile fabric as it always looks classy dressed up, or down. Thank you for demonstrating the garments, I do love your style, it’s not too dissimilar to the items I gravitate towards.

  13. Really enjoy your videos. I love navy and never thought of some of the combinations shown. I really thought the red and camel wraps looked very smart as an alternative to a jacket or a coat. Thanks for all the great tips!!

  14. Great vid! Thanks Marie-Anne. Love the navy blouse with denim. Also the brown leather jacket looks great with the navy… I wouldn't have expected it. 🤩

  15. Great video as always Marie-Anne. I love wearing navy, it flatters my pale complexion better than black, but it goes with everything. I love wearing navy with red or white. I really love your red patterned Joules scarf. In the Spring, I love wearing a pop of pink or yellow with my navy, as a single accessory, perhaps a scarf or a sweater. 😍❤️😍

  16. Navy is such a classic classy colour. I agree 100% with you as I'm maturing I find I'm turning to navy more than black. In finding black too harsh nowadays. You are spot on Marie Anne. X

  17. Well, you've done it once again, Marie-Anne….so many wonderful examples. Choosing my favorite is difficult. Oh!, that "unexpected element" of the red belt (at first I thought it was pink), beautiful! The red scarf is still one of my favorite items you have. I'd love to have it, too. Pairing grey and navy was a staple when I was growing up. The Cap, you are so adorable in hats, and this is no exception. It's so jazzy. —Baby Coco has a friend? What is his name? They are now stars of the Internet.

  18. I really like the navy blouse. I wish I could afford to buy it now before it’s sold out.

I like the combo with the red belt. And with the red wrap. Funny story, I was visiting my 89 year old mother at Christmas time and was getting a coat to take her out and she said she wanted her red wrap. I said I didn’t know you had one but are you sure you will be warm enough? She said it’s very warm. And she really looked sharp in it contrasting against her white hair.

It was very stylish on you too. And I can envision it in a burgundy color too.

I can’t get used to the boot cut pants yet. But they look sharp
    on you.

  19. Hello Marie-Anne! Navy is my favorite color so I really enjoyed your video. I do not wear jeans and I do not like them but I know that a lot of people like and wear them a lot. There is something I see a lot on youtube and I don't really understand. Why would you want to "dress down" something like for example a silk shirt with a pair of jeans. If you want to be dressed down you can do it from the very beginning…I don't understand this concept of putting on nice, elegant clothes and then "dress them down"….can you explain this a little?

  20. I love this video. My fashion projectthis winter is to wear navy with black, mostly navy skirt/dress with black tights. But the colour I like to wear the most with navy is emerald green 🙂

  21. That was a great question to which you offered brilliant solutions! I love your hat! I love navy with cream. Also, the greys, reds, and the GREEN! I adore them all!
I’m very picky about my navy. I like it to be deeply saturated, and I actually call it French Navy. Of course, this will change with texture of fabrics. That peacoat was fabulous, too, by the way.
Your blouse is gorgeous. I wish LilySilk would make a size or two larger. I think I would purchase several colors in this style.💋

  22. Bonjour MArie-Anne, sooo happy to see this video this morning.. Very cold here on the South Coast of UK, but actually love navy, and bought some lovely midnite blue coated jeans on Friday last week and wear with my navy polo and turtle neck sweaters.. Have a fushcia pink Teddy coat so that's perfect too. We have an Marie curie charity shop here shutting for complete overhaul and they have had a crazy sale over past week, everything only two pounds!!!!!!! So yesterday bought two coats, one a dove grey cashmere and a good quality marks and spencer black and white check coat.. Have a great week paula x

  23. It’s funny that you admonish wearing an all-navy outfit. Having lived in France (and in Belgium) for a while, I frequently observed a phenomenon which I dubbed “the navy lady” – that is, a woman (usually middle-aged or older) who was decked out in navy from head to toe, from hat to shoe, jacket, trousers, and everything in between. I always thought they looked chic! And that they certainly had a handle on what they liked 🙂

There’s the “beige lady” phenomenon also, but that’s for another video, I suppose 😉

  24. Thank you!! Lovely video and very helpful! I love the combination of navy and black, grey, or beige, especially in winter. I will try red as an accent as well. Great idea!

  25. Like you I love jackets. I bought a beautiful jacket similar to your off white/blue/ red/yellow one. Mine is in gray/off white/black. The second time I wore it I realized the lining fabric was not very smooth. When I tried to slip it on over a sweater, it didn't go on with the ease of a smoother type of lining. This is a mistake I hope I don't make again. BUT I still love the jacket and will put up with the inconvenience! Thank you for your wealth of fashion knowledge.

  26. I like you cap from Stetson. Also the brown leather jacket with the blue silk blouse is appealing also. At first I thought ?, but as you say – strangely it does go very well together – I agree – contrast and still stylish. I didn't start wearing green with navy until you showed us how well it goes together. My green corduroy jacket sat in my closet for a long time being very lonely! Not NOW! To me your green jacket and blue blouse has an appealing richness to it. I also love the red/blue cardigan with the jeans. The gray coat is another favorite of mine.

  27. The multi-colour jacket is very cute. Something i would wear. This has been such a helpful video. All the options work well. Thankyou. Bev xx
